I've been doing something with art most of my life and have explored most forms of artmaking. Beginning with sculpture, from there I got interested in B/W photography and while living in Santa Fe, New Mexico started doing commercial work as well. My photography work and sculpture has been well received and I have been shown in several galleries in several states.
But I soon longed for more color in my work and started hand painting my photographs. It didn't take long for me to realized that I could make paintings to get the colors I craved! Thus when I moved to San Francisco I began painting in earnest. I have also studied printmaking, working on paper with pastels, charcoals and other media.
Here in San Francisco you can often see my work at the Fort Mason Cafe. Every year I try to participate in Open Studios, held every year in the month of October, and the ArtSpan gallery. In September I will be in a group show at the De Young Art Center, and in October I will be showing at The Bazaar Cafe.
